Catherine and Barry Cohen On The Growth Of Cohen Coaching – 1PRCNT

maximios / Blog

Interview with Catherine and Barry Cohen.

What is your company and what is its main goal?

Cohen Coaching. Our goal is to work with solo and couple entrepreneurs to help them keep their funnel full with qualified prospects. We do this by working with them to define their ideal, high paying client, the create a target audience based on that avatar. With the avatar in place, we show them how to create branding that attracts their avatar and create a message that keeps their funnel full.

When did you start your business and why?

We actually started coaching in 2009 when we launched our software company. With a partner, we created software for the barter industry. We found that our ideal client was not the well established exchange that was deeply embedded with their custom created software, but rather it was the newer exchanges that had a desire but no plan of action. After we split from our partner we continued to coach business owners. That happened in 2016.

What makes you different from your competition?

Two coaches. We are a husband and wife team with two perspectives on a given problem. And while that may sound a bit schizophrenic, it really isn’t. I’m the more creative one. I come up with the ideas, the big picture, the end result goals. Barry is a more analytical thinker. He spent over 30 years in computer repair and technology. He works with the clients to implement the systems and find the software to put the plans into action.

What marketing channels do you use for your growth?

In person networking, workshops and speaking from stages, follow up processes, content creation, and social media.

What are you expected to grow in terms of revenue in the next 12 months?

Over the next 12 months, given that we are expanding the kinds and numbers of stages we are speaking on, we are expecting to reach $200,000 in income. That will be nearly double our current income. It has been the addition of speaking to groups that has really skyrocketed us.

Well, if you want to know about all those things in the city of Austin, TX keep reading!

If you are traveling on a budget and want to make the most out of your trip, it may be wise to skip booking a hotel. Instead, try getting a room or apartment on Airbnb. History

Originally inhabited by immigrants from Germany, Sweden and Mexico there are recorded history documents stating settlers reaching Central Texas in the 1830s. By 1837, they founded a village named Waterloo, which would be renamed Austin in 1839 and serve as the capital of the Republic of Texas.

Today, Austin is known as the “Live Music Capital of the World.” The musical roots can be traced all the way back to the late 1800s. Formally a German social club, Scholz’s Garden has been serving patrons since 1866. According to their website they are “the oldest business in Texas.” The Dessau Dance Hall that was built in 1876, served as a very popular  musical stomping grounds for over a century.

But not everyone knows that this is the city where food truck businesses are very popular. The city prides itself in sourcing locally, despite the high heat and levels of drought it often faces.

Here are three restaurant recommendations we suggest you try out!

Valentina’s Tex Mex BBQ

This family run food truck serves some Tex-Mex, some barbecue, and some plates that combine the two. Odd Duck features craft cocktails, craft beer, and wine to pair with its flavorful and ingredient-forward dishes. Located at 1201 S Lamar Boulevard.

Salty Sow

Salty Sow is an American Gastropub that serves contemporary farmhouse fare. Hand-crafted cocktails and entrees are served fresh daily, mindfully sourced from local farms and purveyors. Modern and unpretentious, Salty Sow’s chef-driven menu delivers clean, farm-to-table eats in a rustic-contemporary setting, making it a trusted “neighborhood gem.” Located at 1917 Manor Lane.

Whether you are coming for a college football game or to do a taste test of all the food trucks that the city has to offer, Austin will not disappoint. Once you’ve had enough food and sports head down to one of the hundreds of music venues to hear some spectacular shows. Austin is truly one for the books!

The Fastest And Easiest Way To Start A Business – 1PRCNT

maximios / Blog

In today’s world, the internet is king when it comes to literally anything. In this article I am going to break down and show you the fastest and easiest way to start a business. You will see the differences when it comes to starting a business with Shopify, Cratejoy, and BookingKoala. These three companies are platforms where you can run your own online business. When you are finished reading, you will have everything you need to start your own business idea.

Shopify

Shopify is the leader when starting an e-commerce business. If you have ever thought that you would like to sell jewelry, clothes, electronics, toys, or anything else for that matter online, then your first stop should be Shopify. They offer differently priced packages for the various features they offer as well as the transaction fees that are associated per each transaction.

When signing up for an account with Shopify, you get your own website that you can customize to your liking as well as connect your own domain address to it. This will make it look professional and make people trust your brand easier. Inside your account, it is fairly easy to change things around and find what you are looking for.

With all of this, Shopify has different outlets to help you grow. They have guides, an academy, podcasts, and even success stories on-top of even more ways to help you get started and keep growing.

Cratejoy

Cratejoy is the leader when starting your own monthly subscription box business. If you are looking for a way to start a business that has recurring clients that are buying from you every month then this is one option you can take. It does require more work than starting a Shopify store because you will be changing out your products every month and will need to find new ones to sell.

Cratejoy offers only one paid plan as well as added transaction fees. When you sign up you also get a website builder where you can completely customize your site to match your business. They offer webinars, guides as well as other tools that will also help you get started and grow. Once you start establishing a name for yourself and getting those monthly recurring clients you will be on track to making more and grow faster. With subscription-based businesses, they are meant to offer multiple items every month based on a specific theme. For example, there is BarkBox, where you get monthly treats and toys for your dog. Every month you will get a variety of different treats and a few toys for your dog to enjoy. Again each month has something different to offer. If it is closer to the holidays then you can maybe expect a Christmas based toy or treat.

BookingKoala

BookingKoala is the only platform in that allows anyone to start a service business completely free with a website and software all-in-one in under 60 seconds. With the Forever Free plan, you get 10 bookings per month, so you can grow until you make money to start paying for the higher plans, which are $3.77 per provider and $5.27 per provider per month. When you sign up for BookingKoala and enter into your account, depending on the industry you chose, it will already be pre-filled with information for that specific industry.

Now that you have a website and software to support your service business you will need jobs. The fastest way to get a job for the cheapest amount would be to post on Craigslist plus they will be able to book their whole service online. You can post on there until you start making money off of jobs to spend money on advertising. Let’s say it’s Friday morning and you sign up for BookingKoala and you post an ad at Noon the same day, you can get a booking for the very next day and start making money.

There you guys have it, we have broken down just a few of the fastest and easiest ways to start a business online. Do you want a warehouse full of inventory or do you want hundreds of employees doing the work for you and just getting a cut? You decide. Please don’t forget to leave a comment down below what you think.

Interview With Steve Ryan Founder of RyTech – 1PRCNT

maximios / Blog

Interview with founder and CEO of RyTech, Steve Ryan. Which is a full service digital marketing company.

What is your company and what is its main goal?

RyTech is a full service digital marketing company that partners with clients across the United States. We specialize our services in SEO/PPC, social media, email marketing, and design. We focus on helping our clients share their story and be found online by the right potential customers in a manner that elicits the most positive return on investment for them. Working with a broad range of clients, we pride ourselves on developing lasting relationships and partnerships with our clients as we become an extension of their internal team.

When did you start your business and why?

I started the business in 2012 as I project managed a website overhaul and initial social media launch for a school district. I saw that there was a need in the marketplace for businesses (of all sized) to be supported. There were large firms that went after large budgets and freelancers that were in place, but the small to mid sized business wasn’t being fully serviced and so that is where we targeted and have been successful.

What makes you different from your competition?

We do not lock our clients into long-term contracts as we understand that marketing needs to be nimble and adjusted. In doing this, we focus on delivering quality results and achieve a 85% client retention rate. Additionally, we do not see the value in packaging our services. There is no bronze, silver, or gold to choose from at RyTech. We develop a tailored, custom approach to our clients that fits their needs and what they are trying to achieve. This approach ensures our clients see return on their digital investment.

What marketing channels do you use for your growth?

As a trained educator, I’ve been successful at speaking at various conferences and trade shows about online marketing to targeted audiences. This has been a great marketing channel for us to continue to pursue and converts at a high rate. Additionally, we leverage our existing social channels (organic and paid) to drive brand awareness and targeted leads. Since there is a lot of competition, the relationship factor is key and so we hold roundtable discussions quarterly with a predetermined topic and invite targets, current clients, and referral sources to attend. These conversations allow us to showcase our knowledge without a sales pitch and build connections among attendees.

What are you expected to grow in terms of revenue in the next 12 months?

We typically set rather aggressive growth goals. In 2017, we grew nearly 100%. In 2018, we grew another 60%. In the next 12 months, we plan to grow by at least another 50% as we continue to enhance our services, focus on our results, and attract new clients from referrals, word of mouth, and our marketing efforts.

The City Of Las Vegas – 1PRCNT

maximios / Blog

Sin City. It has crossed your mind a time or two to finally come visit. Now here you are doing your research before you take the plunge. So, what are the things that you will learn? Well you will learn about what kind of history the city has, who are the majority of people that live there, what are the most popular places that tourists go to, what are the best restaurants and lastly, what are the most exciting sports teams?

When in Vegas you have dozens of hotels and casinos to choose from but what happens when all the best ones are booked? There is always AirBnb. Now, if you plan to use AirBnb more often and want to have an awesome rating on your customer profile, then you should look into hiring a cleaning service. This is a secret travel tip that not many people know about but will make the whole trip better.

History

In May of 1905, the city was founded by ranchers and railroad workers.  Quickly it found that the greatest asset was not its springs but the casinos. Their embrace of Old West style freedoms with gambling and prostitution, created a perfect hideaway for most east coast organized crime.

In 1941, El Rancho Vegas Resort opened up on a section of U.S. 91 right outside the city’s jurisdiction. Quickly after, hotels and casinos began popping up one after another, and that section of the highway became known as “The Strip.”

In 1989, Steve Wynn, the big-shot casino developer opened The Mirage, Vegas’s first mega-resort. Over the next twenty years, the strip was transformed yet again to what we see now.

Demographics

  • White: 62.65%
  • Other race: 12.25%
  • Black or African American: 12.25%
  • Asian: 6.66%
  • Two or more races: 4.81%
  • Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander: 0.72%
  • Native American: 0.66%

Popular Places To Visit

When in Vegas you have to visit the Strip. Free to visit, the 2.5-mile-long central section of Las Vegas Boulevard is lined with huge entertainment palaces. Many of them are built with a certain theme and home to performance venues, luxury hotel rooms, and ultra-fine dining.

When you head into old downtown Las Vegas you will see Fremont Street, the pedestrian-only area with all kinds of unique sites. This five block section of Fremont Street is totally covered with a drape of LED lights that light up the sky in a legendary performance of different colors and designs as you walk below.

The High Roller Ferris wheel is at the far end of the Linq Promenade, just off the Strip. The wheel stands 550 feet high and takes a whopping thirty minutes to go completely around. It provides unreal views over the strip and surrounding area from each of those capsules. Each “cabin”, as they are called, can hold up to 40 people. You will want to wait until nighttime as the view with all the city lights are simply amazing.

Sports

The city is home to only two major league professional teams. The NHL’s Golden Knights and the WNBA’s Ace’s. In 2020, the Oakland Raiders NFL team will be calling Las Vegas their new home when they start off the season here. Vegas was one of the largest cities in the US without a professional sports team before the Golden Knights in 2017.

Cuisine

The food that you will find in Vegas comes from some of the best chefs in the world, depending on where you go. Each resort and casino has a restaurant made to attract people who are not even staying there. From the buffets to the up-scale finger foods you are not going to be walking away hungry from any of these places.

Here are three restaurant recommendations we suggest you try out!

LOCALE

LOCALE is a big opening for the area this year. Nicole Brisson shines with her own concept, giving the growing community a dining destination of its own. Chicken is ordered intact from Bo Bo Farms in New York and butchered in-house. It features an Italian kitchen and craft cocktails that are sure to make your taste buds rock! Located at 7995 Blue Diamond Road.

Hardway 8

Known as a sports bar with an elevated menu, Hardway 8 wants to give back to the locals. Named after a UNLV basketball team that made the Final Four in 1977, Hardway is really taking it home. The bar tops are built from bleachers used at the old Las Vegas Convention Center arena. No matter what you plan on ordering, you’re going to eat some of the best bar food in Vegas! Located at 46 S water street.

Jade Asian Kitchen & Noodles

You have a choice from a noodle bar, sushi bar, teppanyaki grill, and a menu that mixes styles and cuisines from different countries. But don’t think otherwise, the restaurant’s strength is Japanese. They have dishes that frequently mix in South American elements that favor toward bright citrus flavors. Located at 221 North Rampart Boulevard.

Bryan Ye-Chung Co-founder and Creative Director of Alabaster – 1PRCNT

maximios / Blog

Bryan Ye-Chung co-founder and creative director of Alabaster Co shares with us his journey on how he took the Bible and created separate minimalistic books of art geared towards the younger generation.

Here is his Under 25 story!

“I am the co-founder and creative director of Alabaster, we sell beautiful versions of the Bible that look like art books.

It was towards the end of my senior year of college—I was studying art and film and was also part of a Christian group on campus. And honestly, those two parts of me always felt separate. I would lead a Bible study and then head to art studio afterward—but my faith practice and creative practice never really came into contact with one another, I was looking for ways to experience art and faith together.

It was then I began to read a book by a pastor here in Los Angeles. He makes an argument that each generation asks a “spiritual question” that leads them to meaning, purpose, and ultimately, God. He explains that in the past, these questions have been:

What is True?

What is Real?

What is Good?

As I read further, the pastor predicts that the next spiritual question younger generations will be asking is, “What is Beautiful?”

And it felt so true. We live in a world that is driven and influenced by images. We are a generation that cares about design, and art, and beauty. And as we ask what is beautiful in a culture we need to ask, well how does that show that the Gospel is beautiful?

And so I talked to my mentor Brian, and we just began to dream about what a brand exploring creativity, beauty, and faith could look like. And it was then, Brian said, “what if we started with the Bible”

Alabaster aims to give the reader a fresh visual experience and a heightened level of contemplation while reading this ancient text, which ultimately points to the beauty of God. Our Bibles weave beautiful original photography and thoughtful design into the full text of each book of the Bible. Our bibles look more like art books and lifestyle magazines than your traditional leather-bound Bibles.

Intertwined in each book are images that are carefully thought out and correlated with the passage.

The church used to be the center of beauty and art – ancient cathedrals, paintings from the Renaissance period, stained glassed windows – all of these things were created to point towards a beautiful God.

Similar to old master Renaissance artists, who looked at the Scriptures and created these beautiful pieces of art from them, we wanted to do the same – and asked ourselves, “What would that look like today?”

And so we started with the Gospels and decided to launch on Kickstarter in 2016. We had no money, no investors, and no idea what we were really doing… but the response was incredible. We ended up doubling our funding goal over a month.

With the first launch of our Bibles and delivering it to our customers, we noticed a major misprint. We had sentences from our Bible missing. We had the issue of whether or not to tell our customers and whether or not to replace the Bibles. To reprint and reship everything would be costly, but we ultimately decided to proactively let our customers know and reship it to our customers.

Today we face challenges of creating a sustainable business. Some questions that come to mind are: How do we create a great company culture? How do we hire the right people? How do we get our product in front of the right customers? These are all challenges and questions we face as we grow.

Our goal for the next 12-18 months is to become the faith-based publishing brand for millennials. That means we wouldn’t just publish Bibles, but other books and media as well. We’re excited about the challenge and to see what comes next!”

The Under 25 section of 1PRCNT is meant to showcase to everyone that there are plenty of young entrepreneurs out in the business world making strides to better themselves and the world around them.

If you are an entrepreneur under the age of 25 and have a story you would like to share then please feel free to email us and we would love to interview you!

Winklevoss Brothers Become Billionaires – 1PRCNT

maximios / Blog

If you’ve been on social media at all in the past year you most likely have seen talks about bitcoin. If you don’t know what bitcoin is, it’s a cryptocurrency that the government and banks have no control over. Over the past year it’s only been going up in value.

Just this week, Bitcoin peaked at $11,400 per unit. Now, for most people who want to get in on the action, it’s probably still not too late. For the people who knew that this would be something big and jumped on it years ago they are cashing in now.

Remember the Winklevoss brothers, the guys who sued Mark Zuckerberg for stealing the idea of Facebook from them? Well, these guys got into bitcoin about 4 years ago investing around $11 million and it turned out to be a HUGE investment for them. It is so big that it has made them billionaires. Thats right BILLIONAIRES.

The original price of bitcoin was only 0.003 cents per coin when it came out, making us all wish we could have jumped on the wagon back then. Since nobody has created a time machine, we can only go forward from here. It’s still not too late to get in on the action.

Bitcoin is projected to go up to $25,000 within the next 5 years. So if you have some money laying around that you have been wanting to invest, now might be the best time for you. I know that doubling your money is not as good as what could have been, but it’s just a start.

Who knows, maybe bitcoin will go up to $100,000 per unit and you will make 10X your money. But for now we will have to just start like everyone else and pray that the only way it goes, is up.

The Winklevosses are not yet on Zuckerbergs’ level but they have definitely made a huge jump closer to it. The real question is are they gonna sell or hold on and see where it all takes them.

What do you think about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies? Do you think this will go even further or it will crash and burn? Let us know in the comments section below!

Kean Graham and MonetizeMore – 1PRCNT

maximios / Blog

“You will never write an extraordinary story until you realize you are the author.”

This interview is with Kean Graham the founder and CEO of MonetizeMore.

What is your company and what is its main goal?

MonetizeMore provides ad tech to huge AdSense publishers. The tech chooses the highest paying advertiser for each ad placement. This results in dramatically higher ad revenues for the publisher. We strive to hit $25M in Gross Revenues this year. Eventually, we strive to establish PubGuru as the #1 solution for ad monetized publishers.

When did you start your business and why?

I was four months into a backpacking trip across South America after getting laid off from my marketing job. I had hiked for four days through the incredible Inca trail towards Machu Picchu. By the end of it, I was sitting on top of Wayna Picchu reflecting on my incredible experiences it finally clicked: I want to work and travel when I want, where I want. I have to start a digital business to enable this autonomous lifestyle. Seven months later I started the digital business which now offers this autonomous lifestyle to any member of our team.

What makes you different from your competition?

Below are the two things that separates MonetizeMore from our competitors:  We enable ad inventory ownership: Our tech was architected to integrate with any publisher to enable them to use their owned ad server and ad network accounts. Our competitors force publishers to use their centralized ad server and ad network accounts which lacks control and transparency.

PubGuru compliments in-house ad op teams: Our tech was architected to compliment in-house ad op teams rather than replace them like what our competitors strive to do. We have created an unbundled suite of ad tech tools to enhance the effectiveness of each ad op team.

What marketing channels do you use for your growth?

We get 90% of our leads from inbound which include organic search to our articles, PubGuru Ad Inspector Chrome extension, answering questions on forums, social media, Youtube and webinars. We also get leads via referrals from our current publishers which is a great source of some of our largest publishers. We also have outbound leads that come from offline events, newsletters and LinkedIn.

What are you expected to grow in terms of revenue in the next 12 months?

We expect to grow by 40% in the next 12 months. A lot of this will be fueled by the launch of PubGuru and each new revenue stream within this SaaS solution.

Information automatically collected In Short:  Some information — such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address and/or browser and device characteristics — is collected automatically when you visit our Services. We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use or navigate the Services. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Services, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes. Like many businesses, we also collect information through cookies and similar technologies. The information we collect includes:

  • Log and Usage Data. Log and usage data is service-related, diagnostic, usage and performance information our servers automatically collect when you access or use our Services and which we record in log files. Depending on how you interact with us, this log data may include your IP address, device information, browser type and settings and information about your activity in the Services (such as the date/time stamps associated with your usage, pages and files viewed, searches and other actions you take such as which features you use), device event information (such as system activity, error reports (sometimes called ‘crash dumps’) and hardware settings).
  • Device Data. We collect device data such as information about your computer, phone, tablet or other device you use to access the Services. Depending on the device used, this device data may include information such as your IP address (or proxy server), device and application identification numbers, location, browser type, hardware model Internet service provider and/or mobile carrier, operating system and system configuration information.
  • Location Data. We collect location data such as information about your device’s location, which can be either precise or imprecise. How much information we collect depends on the type and settings of the device you use to access the Services. For example, we may use GPS and other technologies to collect geolocation data that tells us your current location (based on your IP address). You can opt out of allowing us to collect this information either by refusing access to the information or by disabling your Location setting on your device. Note however, if you choose to opt out, you may not be able to use certain aspects of the Services.

Information collected through our App In Short:  We collect information regarding your mobile device, push notifications, and Facebook permissions when you use our App. If you use our App, we also collect the following information:

  • Push Notifications. We may request to send you push notifications regarding your account or certain features of the App. If you wish to opt-out from receiving these types of communications, you may turn them off in your device’s settings.

You can opt-out of our marketing emails at any time (see the “WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?” below).
  • Deliver targeted advertising to you. We may use your information to develop and display personalized content and advertising (and work with third parties who do so) tailored to your interests and/or location and to measure its effectiveness.
  • For other business purposes. We may use your information for other business purposes, such as data analysis, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns and to evaluate and improve our Services, products, marketing and your experience. We may use and store this information in aggregated and anonymized form so that it is not associated with individual end users and does not include personal information.
